Synopsis
Based on Mariana Enríquez’s novel of the same name, this miniseries directed by Pablo Larraín follows Ema, a 60-year-old doctor who can see and hear the dead. After her mother’s death, Ema receives an unexpected visit from her niece Julie, who shares the same unsettling gift. After a disturbing event, something begins to change in the neighborhood. The neighbors start to sense presences and memories returning with unbearable intensity, forcing them to confront what they thought was buried. Ema will try to understand the extent of Julie’s gift, but with the return of the dead, guilt, family secrets and wounds that never fully healed also resurface.
