Dandelion

Synopsis
Introduction:
"Gintama" is a popular series that continues to entertain countless fans even 20 years after its initial publication. Now, its author Hideaki Sorachi’s debut work “Dandelion” is being adapted as a Netflix anime series. Included in the first “Gintama” manga volume, “Dandelion” tells the story of Tetsuo Tanba and Misaki Kurogane, angels employed by the Send-Off Department of the Japanese Angel Federation, whose job is to help earthbound spirits that are reluctant to leave this world move on to the afterlife. The series follows the two in their work-swamped daily lives as they do their best to engage sincerely with each spirit. Watching them as they listen to spirits in need and help dispel their lingering regrets — all the while sharing side-splitting banter — one can’t help but sense the DNA that led to the creation of “Gintama.”
The anime contains many original stories depicting the pasts of Tetsuo Tanba and Misaki Kurogane that were not revealed in the manga. The series stars Chikahiro Kobayashi and Megumi Han, both of whom have appeared in many popular projects. Don’t miss this highly entertaining series that will have you laughing and crying.

Story:
The Send-Off Department of the Japanese Angel Federation strives to find souls who have lingering attachments to this world and help them move on to the afterlife. The overworked angels lead incredibly busy lives. Tetsuo Tanba and his leader, Misaki Kurogane, who make up the 21st Division’s Dandelion Clan, take things at their own pace as they face each spirit, listen to their regrets and help them resolve what’s holding them back.
One day, the leaders of the Japan Angel Federation demand strict operational reform. As part of this initiative, the Dandelion Clan, which is the worst performing team by far, is assigned a supervisor: Masaki Kyoga, the third son of Daigoro Kyoga, the president of the Japan Angel Federation. A straight-laced person with the personality of an honor student, Masaki attempts to offer guidance for achieving more efficient operations, but Tetsuo and Misaki willfully ignore him and ruin all his carefully laid plans.
