Two Catalonias

Last December 21 st , Catalonia decided its future in one of the most complex elections in modern democratic history. This documentary accompanied the candidates on their journey throughout Catalonia, Brussels, and even arriving at the Estremeran prison, giving a never-before-seen view of the elections: backstage at rallies, debate preparations, and the candidates’ private moments during the campaign and on election night. With dozens of interviews of intellectuals, jurists, politicians, journalists, and citizens, each with their own sensibilities, we will try to go beyond just what the headlines tell us and understand how and why find ourselves in this difficult situation.
