The Future Diary

The Future Diary is “a love diary of events that will happen in the future.” Singles who have never met before are cast to live out a romantic storyline by following a diary of a rough "script" that is handed to them containing only a rough outline of a story. Their semifictional exchange - based on the cast's own words - takes them through an experience that impacts how they view each other. Ultimately, viewers will ask themselves, will the scripted adventures lead to real romance? This is the legendary romance reality show that made waves 20 years ago rebooted on Netflix.

Season 1 focuses on the romantic relationships of a man and a woman simply with the theme of long distance love. The Japanese pop band, SEKAI NO OWARI wrote a theme song called Diary for the show.
 The MC of the show is DAIGO and the other studio casts include: Taiki Sato (EXILE/FANTASTICS from EXILE TRIBE), Saya (LALANDE), Reina Sumi and Natsuna. They will watch the couple’s journey closely and warmly periodically at the studio.

Season 2 focuses on the love triangle and the diary will demand the cruel trials with the higher barriers. Will the singles choose love or friendship? MC is DAIGO and the studio casts include Chinatsu Wakatsuki, Satoshi Mukai (Panther), Mizuki Itagaki, and Miyu Honda.
