São Paulo, September 17, 2019 — Based on the famous crime thriller of the same name, Bom Dia, Verônica (Good Morning, Verônica) is a new Brazilian Netflix original production.

The thriller follows Verônica Torres (Tainá Müller), who works as a clerk in the São Paulo police homicide unit, where she lives a routinely bureaucratic life within the system, with little excitement. Married, and a mother of two, she finds herself at the edge of the abyss when she witnesses a suicide that opens up some painful past wounds. The same week, she gets an anonymous call from a desperate woman pleading for her life.

Determined, Veronica decides to use all her investigative skills to dive into the cases of the two victims: a young girl cheated by an Internet scammer, and Janete (Camila Morgado), the cowed wife of Brandão (Eduardo Moscovis), a domineering man and high-ranking police officer. As she gets further into the investigations, Veronica confronts an evil world that endangers her family and her very existence.

Elisa Volpatto, Silvio Guindane, César Melo, Adriano Garib and Antônio Grassi complete the cast.

The series was created and adapted for TV by Raphael Montes, with scripts by Raphael, along with Ilana Casoy, Gustavo Bragança, Davi Kolb, and Carol Garcia. Direction is by José Henrique Fonseca, who also serves as executive producer of the series alongside Eduardo Pop, Ilana Casoy, and Raphael Montes. The production is by Zola Filmes.

Bom Dia, Verônica is already being shot in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, and will be released exclusively on Netflix worldwide in 2020.
