THE DANCE CONTINUES FOR SINTONIA

São Paulo, July 30th, 2019. This Tuesday at the Cinemateca Brasileira, Netflix celebrated the launch of the Brazilian original series Sintonia, created by KondZilla in partnership with Guilherme Quintella and Felipe Braga. KondZilla, the show’s three stars Bruna Mascarenhas, Christian Malheiros and Jottapê, producers Rita Moraes and Felipe Braga, and director Johnny Araújo all hit the red carpet.

Leilah Moreno (MC Dondoka), Vinicius Oliveira (Éder), Fernanda Viacava (Pastora Sueli), Vanderlei Bernardino (Seu Chico) also attended, along with Kekel and Dani Russo.

Jottapê (Doni) performed an exclusive show, singing three original songs from Sintonia: “Te Amo Sem Compromisso,” “Passeio na Nave” and “Taxado de Boy.”

Sintonia also represents a milestone for Netflix: for the first time, the pilot episode of the show will be available in full on KondZilla’s YouTube channel. The episode will be available for 48 hours: from noon on Friday, August 9th (release date) until noon on Sunday, August 11th. Kond made the exclusive announcement during the event.

Produced by Losbragas for Netflix, Sintonia’s first season is made up of six 40-minute episodes. The series was written by Guilherme Quintella, Duda Almeida and Thays Berbe, with Pedro Furtado as lead writer. Rita Moraes, Felipe Braga and Alice Braga served as producers. Felipe Braga also served as senior creative producer. The show was directed by Johnny Araújo and KondZilla and will be released on Netflix on August 9th.

Told from the point of view of three characters, Sintonia explores the worlds of music, crime and religion in the city of São Paulo. Doni, Nando and Rita grew up together in the same favela, where they were influenced by the allure of funk, drug trafficking and the church.
