The Chosen One premieres June 28 only on Netflix

Watch the intriguing teaser trailer of the first Brazilian supernatural thriller

o Paulo, May 17, 2019 - Netflix revealed today the first art and the teaser trailer of the Brazilian Original Series The Chosen One, which also had its launch date announced: June 28, 2019. The video shows the arrival of doctors Lucia (Paloma Bernardi), Damião (Pedro Caetano) and Enzo (Gutto Szuster) to the remote village of Aguazul, before knowing nobody there ever gets sick. Mateus (Mariano Martins) is in charge of welcoming them while protecting the secrets that surround the community. Adapted from the Mexican series Niño Santo, the Brazilian production was written by the celebrated authors Raphael Draccon and Carolina Munhóz. The general director is Michel Tikhomiroff. Full of mysteries, the six-episode series will be premiered globally, all at once, exclusively on Netflix.

Three young doctors are sent to a remote village in Pantanal to vaccinate residents against a new mutation of the Zika virus.
